Due to the importance of accurate and up-to-date inventory and the customized nature of ordering snakes,
we do not have a secure site for automated ordering other than the PayPal payment system.
If you know we have the animals you seek in stock and do not have any questions, you may click on the PayPal
icon to pay virtually from your PayPal account. Only domestic customers may pay virtually. International orders
must be paid via direct bank wire transfers or universal money orders.

speak to a reptile consultant. Please, have your credit or debit card information ready when you call.
Again, only U.S. customers may pay via PayPal or credit/debit cards.
The price list on this site may be updated periodically. Prices can change without notice,
but the prices listed are applicable the day you order. Prices apply to hatchlings unless
noted otherwise.
DEPOSITS: If the animal(s) you want are not in stock, deposits will be accepted on selected hatchlings.
The deposit amount will be 25% of the purchase price of the snake(s) only. Since shipping arrangements will
be made at the time of purchase, shipping charges will not be included in the deposit. Prospective buyers will be
contacted when the animal(s) are ready to ship and they will have 10 days from that date in which to pay the balance
for the animal(s) in full (plus shipping). If balance due is not received by the end of the 10 day period, the snakes
will be sold to the next person(s) on the list and all monies paid to that point will be forfeited to South Mountain
Reptiles. Our NO REFUND policy applies here, however that credit may be applied to other purchases during that breeding
season.
In rare cases where partial deposit refunds are granted, a 20% fee will be assessed.
All animals offered for sale will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. No-one will be put ahead of another
on the Deposit or Prepaylists for any reason except as outlined in our deposit policy.
Deposit dates will be strictly adhered to.

We currently do not charge higher prices for ordering lone or extra female hatchlings (unless noted on specific
items), but on occasion it may be necessary to restrict the sale of lone or extra females when
inventories are low. This is rare and we will only do this when absolutely necessary.

Shipping Information
All domestic orders are usually shipped via door-to-door service without the hassle of picking
it up at your airport. This door-to-door (usually next day delivery) shipping and handling
service is available throughout most of the contiguous U.S. and will be prepaid prior to
shipping. We can ship up to 10 neonate snakes per box. The fee for direct delivery shipping via Fed Ex will be
$46.00 per box. There are no other shipping and handling fees associated with
weekday, domestic door-to-door service. Those animals shipped via door-to-door carriers will be guaranteed
to arrive only if the first delivery attempt is successful and if the customer directly receives the package.
Packages left at door by delivery waiver are exempt from our live delivery guarantee.
Proof of d.o.a. is required. Inquire about exceptions.
In cases of delayed deliveries or other problems associated with shipping,
please contact us at (830)964-3200. As the shipper, we can expedite delivery more
quickly here than you can.
You may alternately choose airline cargo to your nearest major airport for domestic orders. This premium
counter-to-counter service must be prepaid prior to shipping. At this time, the cost for
airline cargo (Delta Dash) is $85.00. Airline service is only offered by appointment.
We're very far from an airport and only ship with them once a month.
If your package is shipped via the airlines, all reptiles in domestic orders will be guaranteed to arrive
alive if picked up within four (4) hours of flight arrival and if the temperature is above
40 degrees F.. There are no guarantees by us for shipments delayed or lost by the airline
carrier, but claims may be made directly to the airline carrier. In the event of
dissatisfaction, you are responsible for notifying us within 48 hours of flight arrival.
If you elect to return the reptile(s), you will be responsible for all expenses required
to properly and safely return the reptile(s).

Heterozygous Animals
If you purchase a snake that is heterozygous (hetero)(het) for a particular trait, the snake you receive will not look like the recessive trait with the higher price.
For example, an amelanistic corn is shades of red with red eyes, but a het for amelanistic is only carrying the hidden gene for producing amelanistic corns.
The het in this case will look somewhat like a normal corn with shades of black, brown and tan with dark eyes.
When the het amelanistic is bred to another het amelanistic with the same genes or with the homozygous amelanistic, you will get some amelanistics from that breeding.
In the case of breeding the same het you will get approximately 25% amelanistics. If you breed the het with an amelanistic, you will get approximately 50% amelanistics.
